Superman Celebration – Carmine Infantino

Why is it that the Superman Celebration in Metropolis, IL always sneaks up on me?  It started today, June 10, 2010 and runs until Sunday.  The highlight to me is the appearance of Carmine Infantino.  He is probably best known for the creation of the modern Flash in DC Showcase #4.  He was apparently also key in getting Jack Kirby to move from Marvel Comics to DC Comics in the early 70s.  Mr. Infantino will be appearing in Artist Alley at the Superman Celebration.  The schedule of events for Superman Celebration is available online.
